Hey, competition!

I've only just skimmed through it, but it looks good - the content seems solid even if the layout's a bit bland. Hope to see them improve and grow larger as we have the same ultimate goal of promoting anime in South Africa, I think it's also good indication of an interest in the market and I think there's a definite need to get the ball rolling again.

As for organization, things should be a lot better with the second issue and I'm confident that we can produce something really awesome as we have a great team of people working on the project. Let's just wait for Jason's announcement and then we can get cracking :)

My first post in this section..

Jason desperately needs help as far as I can understand with the DTP, Illustrator etc. sections of our magazine. due to his personal time constraints and work commitments.
Anybody feeling that they can handle these in the interim?
I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.

I believe people have volunteered to help. Thats not the problem.

The problem seems to be the non-existent communication.

I am speaking to someone about doing that.
I cannot communicate effectively because:
1) I work for a company where I am not allowed to use the internet for private use. If I am caught I face dismissal.
2) I get home at shitty hours due to traffic, then its family commitments i.e. feeding kids, bathing kids, putting kids to bed
3) I then have to run my business at home, which means consulting and I get income from this which I desperately need.
4) I get to bed sometimes at 1:30 AM and then have to get up at 5AM to beat the insane traffic in JHB

I have very little time, today is the first time in more than a month that I have time to do anything, and right now its catch-up between here and hack.org.za. In addition to that there's the volume of queries I get from people all over the world about code I posted here and on h0z, and stuff like that.

Previously I was employed at a company where I was in charge of the internet and given free rein to use the internet. Now that that's gone I am not able to respond to things as fast as people would like.

Until I am in New Zealand, its going to be hectic like this. I have to work two jobs, the cost of moving to another country is something that not many can afford, we can do it, but that means I have to make some sacrifices, one of them is this anime magazine!
