Exactly :D These are proofing tools I have, it allows me to check the stuff before I send it off to be printed. That's what they are for. I found that the software they gave me is the same identical set of tools offered on many other print houses overseas. One in the Ukraine copied the tools identically... has Intrepid's name all over it.

When I started off with this, it wasn't the case. The file I am now working on is actually the second round, with all the stuff set up perfectly for print.

Jay, I will try and make sure this doesn't fail miserably. I don't see why or how it can fail, I mean, look at how many people cried when Otakumag died... they are our market now, and then some (new faces). If its a complete success, then awesome. We will work out the details later as to how we will go forward. I am trying this time to focus on one thing at a time, not like last time where I tried to see into the future and got myself so stressed up!

Completely agreed.
I can not see how this will fail.

It won't! You have a rocking crew. And all these crazy otaku freaks are willing to put blood, sweat and tears into this for you.

Their work is not for me but for themselves!
They are the community. :D

I do not see a viable reason to go for printed media at this stage or the near future aside from the sentimentality of having a printed copy of the magazine.

And that's all I ever meant for it to be, print on demand. My bad if it came across any other way. Since most anime fans are hoarders anyway I'm sure there will be a demand for printed copies. Anything to make the customer/fan/zealot happy. =P

Can't wait to see the first issue ^_^ (hopefully it will be done before I leave on Thursday)

Jason, you mentioned eReaders. Have you tested it on one yet?

Well I read stories of fans keeping every issue of Otakumag in plastic covers like one would do with comics...

Anyway we will take a decision when the 1st issue is out.

OK, its late, I've been doing layout for 4 hours straight, going off to bed. Cya tomorrow!

Probably unrelated, but I keep all my comics boxed and in plastic covers.
I keep my Otakumag's on the floor under my desk.

The magazine is nearing completion...
I know some of you have sent me messages via PM,  I will get to those after the mag is out I promise

When the mag is out I am going to be taking a break from computers/Photoshop/internet for 3 - 4 days, whereafter I will return to the forum.
I will likely be back by Wednesday next week. If there are any site issues or whatever, you can speak to the other admins Jay or Epsilon who are very capable people whom I entrust this forum with.

Forgive my mental math (im drinking my morning caffeine now) but if you back by Wednesday and you takin 3-4 days off after the Mag is out, does that mean the mag will be out this weekend?
That would be awesome!

That all depends on the completion of the other work... I don't have a release date as yet. However, just be patient, you may be pleasantly surprised!
