Those of you with access to international TV shows (nudge nudge, wink wink) may want to check out Treme - a new series by the guys who wrote The Wire. Set in New Orleans a couple of months after Katrina, it's a rich & character-driven look at the rebuilding of lives, alongside some great political commentary regarding the government failure to protect a city that was known to be vulnerable. Two episodes out so far, and they have both featured John Goodman and Elvis Costello. Lots of great music, as you'd expect for a show set in NO.

Yep. It's unclear how significant his character will be at this point - only a handful of lines of dialogue to date. Nevertheless, he adds some coolth, and some gravitas.
