ADSL account for one month

As you can probably guess from the topic, I'm going to need an ADSL account for one month due to having to house-sit for my parents. They already have an installed ADSL line and their own account, but I need a separate one so I can claim back the costs. It's a 384 line so I am not planning on doing any heavy downloading, but being able to use YouTube will be necessary. Doing a quick search I came across these Axxess Just Uncapped http://www.axxess.co.za/internet.php?account=uncapped accounts and they seem to fit my needs. Are there any other suggestions or comments on these particular packages?

Just read through that link you posted...
It's a bit confusing.
from what i understand the 'Just surf uncapped' @R99 can only be used for web browsing and e-mail. No downloads allowed.
That account is shaped (which is fine) whilst the other 2 are unshaped.

What bothers me is that the 'just uncapped'and 'just uncapped express+' specify that there is an Acceptable usage policy (AUP)'
This usually implies some form of throttling or maximum usage once certain thresholds are reached. (usually there's a whole bunch of other legalese about abusing the network, intellectual property etc. etc. as well)
I can't find information on the site of what their AUP actually entails. I'd make sure to check on that if I was you.

The 'just uncapped express+' seems to imply that if you for instance take a 384Kbps package with them and you actually have a 4MB/s Telkom ADSL line that you will receive 'full line speed after hours', i.e. 4MB/s. What after hours constitutes is also not clear from the web site.

I would check out the offerings by Afrihost and MWEB as well.
I have used Afrihost in the past (before the rise of uncapped their capped rates were the cheapest around) and was very satisfied with the quality of service etc.

Some links:

http://www.afrihost.com/site/product/adsl_uncapped

http://www.mweb.co.za/productspricing/InternetAccess/ADSL/BigtimeSurfer.aspx

Weigh up the options and decide what's best for you.

I really think they could have given a bit more detailed information on the packages and associated condtions etc. on the web site.

If you go for Axxess, you'd be better off checking out their prepaid packages, its much better value for money.

And I agree, Afrihost have some great short term deals.
