Boondock Saints 2 - All Saints Day:

Well as a fan of the cult classic Boondock Saints, I was more than a bit excited at the sequal starring the same cast but with a different director.

Unfortunately it is a director that makes and breaks a movie.
Itlacked the class and substance of the original and as a movie in it's own right it was terrible.
It was like a good joke being delivered by someone that has no sense of humour or a sense of timing.

I blame the director for the poor performance of the actors.
Without great direction they floundered, delivering poorly written lines in vague uninterested tones and without the usual high skill that is expected from actors like Billy Conelly and Willem Defoe.

I will sum up the movie in a single word: Avoid.

3/10

Even Johnny Depp will act shit if it was not for a Director motivating him in capturing a moment on film.
I started to watch this tripe and about 5 mins in tuned to 7de Laan  :P

nice review.
Communities tend to be guided less than individuals by conscience and a sense of responsibility. How much misery does this fact cause mankind! It is the source of wars and every kind of oppression, which fill the earth with pain, sighs and bitterness. (Albert Einstein, 1934)

I was in the video shop yesterday and I heard an employee enthusiastically recommending it to a customer. I could not believe it, what's wrong with people? I could not even watch more than twenty minutes it was so bad.

What a pity, the first one was such a corker.

Didn't Troy Duffy direct both of the films? Either way, I couldn't believe that was the best they could come up with after almost 10 years of waiting. Hugely disappointing and completely devoid of all the charm that made the original so special.

Edit: Oops, didn't notice the threads in this section date back to 2010. Sorry for bumping them!
