It is an odd movie to be honest...it skirts from the mundane to the ludicrous without too much care for what the viewers think. We are there for the experience and an experience it is.
It grabs your hand and drags you through the movie, cringing at the profanity, the complete disregard for sexual taboos and religion. With songs like "Raped your Face" and "Sexy Jesus" (available as sing-a-longs on youtube) you can understand what I am referring to.
Through the banality and profanity there is an endearing quality to the movie with it's a refreshing new take on the "teacher-inspires-pupils-from-wrong-side-of-the-tracks" tale and the quote that endeared me to the to Hamlet is: "Everyone deserves a second chance."
To quote a line from the movie, which I feels perfectly sums it up.
My Life is a parody of a tragedy.
