A 10-part mini-series from the creators of "Band of Brothers" telling the intertwined stories of three Marines during America's battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.

Having thoroughly enjoyed "Band of Brothers" I was eagerly anticipating this series.
I watched the first 4 episodes last night and they did not disappoint.

You are given enough background on the characters to get some insight into their psyche and then the action leaps to the U.S. invasion of Guadalcanal in the first episode.
As with "Band of Brothers" there are plenty of gripping battle scenes, but the primary focus remains on the human aspect of the characters involved.
It is a gripping tale of how young men experienced the horrors of war and the conditions they experienced.
There are so many elements to this tale it is hard to describe them all.

9/10
