This is a full, damning report on how big business in SA operates with the general public. It is based on my personal research and looking at customer complaints from a neutral standpoint. The following below applies in varying degrees but all are guilty of it. Most companies, Multichoice, all four SA banks, Insurance companies, cellular service providers (MTN, Vodacom, Cell C, Virgin Mobile, iBurst) the whole damn lot.
SA Business uses ITC/Credit Bureaus to punish their clients
The banks here are the biggest culprits. It seems that they get some sick perverted pleasure from having customers blacklisted for trivial and, in many cases increasing situations where debts were settled in full. Banks nowadays have no compunction to blacklist you if just one instalment becomes a problem, especially in situations when the bank STUFFS UP your account and it is NOT THE CLIENT'S FAULT. Many companies hand over accounts to debt collection sharks ( the usual notorious VVM, MBD Attorneys, etc..) without even allowing the client to make a plan, this gets done more and more frequently.
The total disregard for the NCA is abysmal, as they are all playing the odds that the average SA consumer is so deep in debt he cannot afford an attorney to fight them on the issue. At this point I wonder what the hell was the use of the National Credit Act in the first place. Yet another worthless and toothless piece of ANC legislation.
So lets say you settle an account, and you do it early, so you're a very good client.. Just try and get them to post a positive rating on your credit profile. Someone I know had to threaten them with attorneys to force the bank to do it!
SA Business takes a pretty dim view of the customer
Most companies honestly believe that all their customers are retarded idiots, and furthermore treat them accordingly, and institute red tape to waste their time. They make so much money out of the crappy overinflated products they sell (insurance policies and the like) they really don't care as greed blinds them. They are not scared of the Ombudsman as they also play the odds that the average twit customer doesn't have the intellect/stamina to take the case to Ombudsman.
Some companies insinuate that customers lie and use trumped-up CCTV footage to justify their self-righteousness. Such a company is Dis-Chem Pharmacy (PTY) LTD. A close friend of mine forms part of the management team and his attitude is that the customers are full of crap. I do not agree with him and in the interests of keeping my friendship I do not discuss the issue at all.
Some companies also like to fuck the customer around so much that they reckon he will eventually give up and get lost. Such a company is a bank, known as ABSA bank. I am personally now giving it back to them and surprise, they don't like it one bit. Amazing how they want to cry with the BOOT IS ON THE OTHER FOOT!
They protect their racist, arrogant staff members
I am well aware of how racist and arrogant the majority in SA have become. They now slug racial slurs at clients, and treat them like a piece of shit, with absolutely no recourse from management when the customers complain and lay charges. I notice this is a new thing amongst the ANC supporting masses (I can only presume its being spurred on by the likes of Malema). Stores with racist staff: Dis-Chem, ABSA Bank, Standard Bank, Game Stores, MTN Store Clearwater Mall, Cell C, Vodacom, the list is endless....
Plain old bad service
Long queues, inefficiency and other methods are still alive and well in SA. I have since figured out that they don't want business from intellectual people, they are targeting the idiots out there who are stupid enough to fall for their advertising so that they can rip a hole in their pants with high bank charges and bad service.
Banks and their crap
Many banks nowadays want you to get authorisation from them to withdraw large sums of YOUR OWN FUCKING MONEY! When did this horseshit come into play??? I am going to give Standard Bank their just deserve for this one, I will punish them for this. I believe other banks such as Nedbank are also famous for this one!
Harmful Legislation
Society is a complex feedback system. Many laws in this country are harmful and were passed without any regard for the population but for full regard for an ANC politician's pockets. I will discuss each in detail:
The ANC is a business, its core function is to make lots of money, insane amounts of it, by bleeding its subjects dry.
The FICA horseshit: This was a law put into place by the ANC, deemed a GOOD IDEA(TM) because their American chums told them all about how 9/11 endangered the whole world and they want to control the rest of the world from funding Bin Laden and those fucking terrorists.
Unintended Consequence: Countless people are fucked around, SARS and the ANC has more spying capability on its citizens, and for the criminals its business as usual since its so easy to launder cash, yet the Americans and the ANC are so thick they missed that one... Dumbasses!
The RICA horseshit: Yet another brilliant brainwave from the ANC. Eish Jacob, now we can spy on everyone, including those "third forces" that send emails around with Madiba's face and those racist bastards who insult us on twitter. Now we can throw them in jail.
The ANC claims this is for crime prevention. I firmly believe this is a tool for the ANC to spy on its citizens, so that, as the SA government moves into a communist state, they can monitor and arrest defectors and anyone who insults the government or any form of resistance. They got this likely from their Chinese friends. So it will be Stasi Files for each of us, I wonder how full my file is already? In 2009 I predicted that there will suddenly be a huge market for stolen SIM cards. I was right- they are now breaking into meter boxes and traffic light controllers to steal the SIM cards and a SIM card writer is a sought after item on the black market at present. Bravo ANC, you stupid dumb-asses! Yet another law that fucks around the law abiding and the criminals have so many easy work-arounds.
The SANRAL Open Tolling horseshit: Does anyone know where this comes from? Let's go back some 12 years. One day around 2000, some ANC fatcat had to get to some place in Sandton urgently from Pretoria, and as per usual, the N1 South towards Rivonia was its usual gridlock. So this ANC official got to experience what we all experience, being stuck in traffic. So said ANC fatcat lost his temper in his limo and decided he was going to "do something" about this crap that he, his excellency, has to sit in this traffic. His first tack was to announce legislation in 2002 to ban trucks off the roads in peak hours. This unleashed a shitstorm, especially from the transport sector and then damage control was done and it was all swept quietly under the rug. Further in 2002 they then proposed that people alone in cars will be tolled, and since then this man has been pushing his agenda. In the years since, every few years we heard stuff about upcoming tolls and we all dismissed it as usual ANC bullshit. Except now, some 12 years later this ANC politician has succeeded in pushing his agenda to make those "bastard road users pay for making it so congested"
