On the other hand this is a forum with a grand total of 21 members and I can't help but it's not worth the effort it would take to slam my cock repeatedly on the keyboard in an effort to formulate a reply that you might understand.

Seeing as numbers are so important, make sure the curtains are open so that people can see.

I made that post in August... it takes them just on 4 months to discover it, and they are the self-proclaimed gods of the internet and gaming in SA, tsk, tsk... But that post was not about being discovered or whatnot. I expressed my opinion and that was it, and their coming here to post their 2c and whatnot is pretty pointless. It does however really make my opinion start to approach fact, the language used (i.e. banging cock on keyboard) is proof what kind of people go to that forum. It also proves they have a really inflated ego.... just like most IT and gaming people in SA.

I feel that this post, an observation I wished to share with my fellow forum members here, is now being used as something else I fear. Nonetheless, they wont get any further reaction out of me. I am not going to go down the RPM route of locking down threads, because I believe I am better than that person, so, it remains open but no more reaction out of me... just giving prophecy more rope to trip itself up, so to speak.

Ok, look, I think you're missing something here.

You said, "look how sad prophecy has become", because Prophecy created Evilsod as a split community, and that, according to you, is sad. I responded here to state that Prophecy has nothing to do with Evilsod, and that it is an entirely separate community, not in any way connected to Prophecy. You still haven't responded to that part of my post, yet you still blame all this on prophecy being such a sad place.

It took me 4 months to respond, because I didn't know about your forum, and somebody, just a couple of days ago, notified me about the post, since he was doing a google search and accidentally came across this post. It was purely coincidental. I'm not sure why Prophecy is being made out to be the bad guy here? Please explain this to me?

In my opinion resurrecting this 'necro' thread is doing more harm than good.
As a matter of fact I had totally forgotten about this tread until it was resurrected.

As for your questions, I think that Jason has clearly stated that he is not going to reply to any further questions etc. regarding this matter.

PS - I have no personal opinion on the matters expressed in this thread, since I have never visited Prophecy or been a member of it.

Yup, I was wondering if it is our Jay, I am waiting for him to raise his hand, or not :)

This is the only forum where I use my real name as my handle.

Jason to be honest.
I am not sure if you ever considered the consequences of starting a thread like this?

It is expected that there would be some kind of backlash and considering the forum you took on, it is rather obvious what kind of backlash you would get.

I'll sit here and chuckle by myself.

To Firestar and "the real Jay" welcome to digital natives! ;)

Yes Jay they are most welcome here indeed.
I would like to urge them to read the forum policy documents etc. and if they feel they have a constructive meaningful contribution to make here it would be most welcome.

So go ahead - Any positive contributions would be most welcome.

As for this thread I think both Jason and the Prophecy crew have had their opportunity to state their respective cases.
Quite frankly I don't not see either party(s) changing their point of view, so I think it's best to put this thread to bed now.

It won't be locked, but further debate in this regard seems kind of pointless to me.
Come on - it's 2011 - New year and many new things to look forward to.

Let's try and focus on the positive and try to be constructive (All of us)

UPDATE: 14/02/2011
I have discussed this issue with the owner of Prophecy.co.za on e-mail.
The long and the short of it is, I don't like him, he doesn't like me and he allows Scientologists to advertise on his site (to which I take exception)
We've agreed to stay away from each others forums

THE LAST WORD:

I have been speaking to Henk regarding this matter, at great length. Now this is what I found out, that he is rather a nice guy, and my attack on him was maybe a bit undeserved but we did sort it out.

What I have found is that, he is trying to keep a specific group of people who use his forums, happy. He has in the past take enormous flack for that FlameZone part of his forum, and has also stated that he never agreed with it. For him its about business and keeping the clients happy. The clients on the other hand, I still think are a bunch of arseholes but that is not relevant. What is relevant is that he sort-of agrees with me but because its a business he is dependent on them for the income they bring so he has to cater to their needs.

So I was wrong to attack the man, but I should rather have attacked the culprits, some of which came to respond in this thread.
