And that is the core of how I feel. Of course I have no idea how my son will turn out- all I can hope is that he turns out to be a well-balanced individual.

I believe that trying to minimize the repression adults inflict on their kids could have a beneficial effect on them. With limits of course - but letting kids run wild and out of their skins will make them more confident about themselves. We are too quick to force kids see our ways while we all know that people should learn life lessons by experiencing them. Their impulses are so genuine that we almost always cannot see the reasons why kids are "naughty" or this or that. Naughty is just a word used by adults to hide their own lack of proper guidance towards their children.

Back to BUCHAN

Got one of *those* emails this morning from someone and the first sentence was:

"Hi, Maybe Angus Buchan is the man Siener van Rensburg was referring to in one of his prophecies. "A man of God will lead South Africa out of the dark times."

Every email I have received so far from Buchan's cult starts with some sort of reference towards "Siener van Rensburg".
WTF? :o

And somewhere they will also mention "only real men..." yada yada.

I thought he was a fixture over at the right wing forum known as Stormfront.org

This is also why I have had such issues with religion, the bandwagoning and claims to SA's own Nostradamus makes me sick

Jimpop what I have taken away from Christianity is this:

If you are not for the Hebrew God you are against him and with this small. Bs.

The only good you can take away from it is the basic human morals which your inner authority already knows.... The karma in life if you will.

We need to get over religious dogma if mankind is to progress towards the next part in sociable evolution and mental development. In short falling to your knees and praying seems primitive to me.
